Rules & enforcement
Rules you can configure and how enforcement behaves.
Core rules
- Daily loss limit — uses a frozen activation balance and includes floating equity losses. At the floor, attempts to close positions and cancel pending orders until UTC midnight.
- Daily profit protection — arms when equity profit reaches the configured amount. Only the surplus remains available for risk; depletion triggers the daily financial lock.
- Max trades per day — each entry over your UTC daily plan counts as a discipline breach.
- Cooldown after loss — re-entry during the configured pause counts as a breach; closing a loser is not itself a cooldown breach.
- Loss streak — further entries after your configured streak count as discipline breaches.
- Allowed sessions and instruments — entries outside your plan count as discipline breaches.
- Minimum reward-risk — planned setups below your ratio count as discipline breaches.
- Position size — attempts reductions to fit the per-trade risk limit and remaining daily capacity after other open positions. Missing stops, broker minimums or failed execution can prevent correction.
How enforcement works
On Core and Pro, financial protection requires current authorization, trading access and a running Risk Marshal. Extra trades and other discipline breaches affect scores without themselves closing trades. For a 1,000-unit activation balance, a 2% daily allowance is 20 units even if the account grows. With a 5% protected profit and 7% daily profit, only the extra 2% is available for further risk, subject to other open positions and the per-trade limit. Journal records activity without trade actions. Gaps, costs, latency and broker failures can overshoot a floor; protection is not a guarantee.
