Frequently asked questions
Short, honest answers about what Risk Marshal does — and doesn't do. For setup instructions and feature detail, see the documentation. For a quick comparison, read about the difference between a journal, AI coaching and rule enforcement.
Beta & Partners
How does the beta work?
Signup is open — no waitlist, no application. Choose Journal for trade review and baseline Intelligence, or Core and Pro for enforcement too. Core and Pro offer a 14-day trial with a card required and founding pricing for life. Check your selected plan’s terms at checkout.
Who is the Early Partner Program for?
Trading creators, educators, communities, and mentors who want to bring Risk Marshal to their audience. Apply with your social handles and audience size — we review every application personally.
What does it cost to join the beta?
Creating an account is free. Journal costs $19/month, Core $24/month and Pro $49/month. Core and Pro offer a 14-day trial with a card required. You can cancel anytime; trial and billing terms appear at checkout.
Platform
What is the difference between a trading journal, AI coaching and rule enforcement?
A trading journal records your activity so you can review it. AI coaching explains patterns in the recorded data and suggests ways to follow your rules. Rule enforcement can apply configured limits through your MT5 terminal. Risk Marshal Journal includes recording and feedback; Core and Pro add enforcement. Neither feedback nor enforcement guarantees profits or prevents every loss.
Can I use Risk Marshal with my own money?
Yes. Risk Marshal supports personal, evaluation and funded MT5 accounts. Your funds stay with your broker and you choose your trades. For a prop firm account, check that your firm permits automated risk protection and your chosen connection method.
What does Risk Marshal actually do?
Risk Marshal brings together three areas: an automatic MT5 trade journal and recorded financial analytics, personalized Marshal Intelligence analysis and discipline coaching based on your available trades, results and rules, and enforcement of your configured risk rules with Core and Pro. Journal is recording and review only. You choose your trades and remain responsible for your decisions.
Does Risk Marshal choose or place trades for me?
You choose your trades. Journal records them for review; Core and Pro add financial protection that can reduce or close positions under your chosen limits. Risk Marshal does not choose entries, provide signals or guarantee profits or execution.
What is included in Journal?
Journal is $19/month for one active MT5 account, with up to three lifetime account activations. It includes automatic trade recording, analytics, discipline tools and baseline Marshal Intelligence: 100 chat messages per day and a 30-day analysis window. It uses your own MT5 setup and does not include trade enforcement or managed hosting.
Which brokers and platforms work with Risk Marshal?
We support MT5 (and most MT5-compatible brokers). Risk Marshal connects to your existing terminal — no rerouting, no copy-trading, no funds movement.
Trading rule enforcement
How can I enforce my own trading rules on MT5?
On Core and Pro, choose your financial limits and confirm protection in Setup & Activation. Risk Marshal can attempt position reductions, closures and pending-order cancellations under those limits. Extra trades and other discipline breaches affect your score without themselves closing trades. You choose your trades; Journal records activity without trade actions.
Is rule enforcement different from a trading alert?
Yes. An alert leaves the response to you. Core and Pro can attempt position reductions, closures or pending-order cancellations under your financial limits. Check reported results: an alert or connected dashboard does not prove that an action succeeded.
Does a daily loss limit guarantee I cannot lose more?
No. Risk Marshal can respond when your configured limit is reached, but prices can move and orders may execute before it responds. Connection, trading permissions and broker execution affect the result. Keep checking your account and your rules; enforcement does not guarantee a maximum loss or compliance with every prop firm rule.
Security & privacy
Does Risk Marshal ever see my account password?
With your own MT5 setup, your trading password stays in MT5. Managed setup needs trading credentials to sign in and apply your financial limits. Credentials are encrypted when stored. Risk Marshal cannot withdraw or transfer your funds.
Who owns my trading data?
You do. We store derived behavioural signals (e.g. revenge-trade detections, session compliance) to power analytics and coaching. You can export or delete your data at any time.
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell or rent personal data. Aggregated, anonymised benchmarks may be used to compare cohorts — and only if you opt in.
Intelligent feedback
How does the personalized feedback work?
Risk Marshal reads your behavioural data — trades, breaches, sessions, discipline score, streaks — and gives plain-language coaching about patterns specific to you. It will never recommend a specific trade or share market predictions.
Does it replace a human coach?
No. Marshal Intelligence helps you review recorded activity and follow your rules. A human coach can bring personal context and support that AI feedback cannot replace. AI feedback depends on the available records and can be incomplete or wrong.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your behavioural data is scoped to your account and never shared with other users.
